The Center for World Health & Medicine (CWHM) at Saint Louis University is dedicated to the discovery and development of safe, effective and affordable therapies for orphan and neglected diseases that are responsible for suffering, debilitation and death in St. Louis and throughout the world. These diseases disproportionately affect the poor and most vulnerable, and take an exceptionally heavy toll on infants and children. The CWHM consists of a large team of former pharmaceutical industry scientists collaborating with biomedical researchers and clinicians within Saint Louis University and international disease experts to translate fundamental discoveries into promising new drugs.
